Fifth Month

Watch Elli Grow!

March 1-31st

Weight: 12lbs 3.5oz
Sleeping Patterns: 3-4 naps and bedtime around 9ish... We are working on moving bedtime up:)
Eating Habits: She eats at 7:30am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, and 7:30pm.
New "Foods": Gripe Water when her tummy hurts
New discoveries: Elli has discovered kicking and splashing in the tub.  Also kicking in general, anytime and anywhere!
New accomplishments: She rolled over to the right side (back to tummy) on March 5th.  Matt and I both saw it happen.  We gave each other high fives! Proud parent moment! I had just finished telling Matthew that she was so close to rolling over at preschool today and then it happened!
I heard the sound "dada" or "dudu" March 8th. She rolled from her tummy to her back March 8th (to the left). We both saw her again! So special!! On March 23rd she passed an object from one had to the other!
Special Memories: March 1st-2nd we made a trip to Lynchburg to see Elli's Aunt Bethany Kay's play (All My Sons)!  She did awesome! We also saw Uncle Josh, Grammi, and Papa!  It was so much fun to be with our family! We stayed with "Aunt" Bethany Joy and Catherine! We are so thankful for them! It was a wonderful trip! We loved being in the Blue Ridge mountains too:)
March 10th was Elli's first time in the nursery at IDC! That was a big day...more for Mommy than Elli:) She did great though!
March 15th-Friday Family Fun Day (FFFD): we went to Durant Nature Park for a wonderful hike! It is so good for Team Bishop to be outdoors!!
March 17th-Elli's first St. Patrick's day! I can't wait to share his testimony and fervor to preach the gospel with Elli!
March 20th-Elli's first day of Spring!
March 21st-My sweet husband offered to watch Elli so I could go out with the ladies from work.  He is such a generous husband! I love him so much! Elli, when you grow up and decided to get married, say around 34, don't settle for any less :)
March 29-Friday Family Fun Day: Another day outdoors! We went to Beaver Dam, part of Falls Lake State Recreation Area.  We did a little hike, read in the eno hammock, Elli took a nap in the hammock! It was one of the best FFFD's yet!
March 31st-Elli's first Easter! Also her Daddy's New Life Birthday--He has been redeemed for 11 years! Praise the Father! We can't wait till next Easter! We hope and pray each Easter that passes Elli will know Christ and the power of His resurrection more and more.
Nickname: "Water Baby" Elli Faith LOVES the water! At least the bath water! I can't wait to take her to the pool or the ocean!

Picture Time!

I did a lot less captions this time round... I had way too many pictures and too little time! :)

Studying with Daddy! Matt is such an amazing husband, student, and dad! He has become great a multitasking! I'm so thankful he is able to hold Elli for me different times throughout the day:)

Mini Series: Elli and Mommy Love Fest

Wow Elli you are growing into one amazing, fun, beautiful little girl! We love you more than words can say! We continue to pray for you daily.  We pray a lot of different things.  But by far our greatest prayer is that the Lord Jesus will reveal Himself to you, opening your eyes to your sin nature and your desperate need for a Savior.  We pray that you will place your faith and trust in Christ alone for salvation.  We pray that you will love and serve Him and His people all your days!

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
