Seventh Month

Watch Elli Grow!

May 1st-May 31st

Weight: 13lbs 7.5oz
Sleeping Patterns: Great naps most of the time! One in the morning, 9-11ish, and one (or two) 1-3ish & 5-6ish in the afternoon.  Still not sleeping great at night. Waking up at least twice a night... Bedtime is at 8pm.
Eating Habits: She nurses 4-5 times a day and eats food with us breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
New "Foods": Yogurt and Banana!
New discoveries: She loves to "talk!" She can make all sorts of sounds now!
New accomplishments: Blinking intentionally (5.12).  This is so cute and funny! It is almost like she is communicating by the different ways she blinks.  Up on knees/all fours (5.15), "waving thing"/opening and closing fist , "Dada" (5.20), scooting backwards, sitting up on her own!!
Nickname: "Monkey Baby"-She loves bananas, especially to hold the whole thing and try to take "bites." (Paula Dean baby- loves butter, Scooter-scooting backwards like there is no tomorrow!)

The 7th month was good! We finished up our time at BBLC, the preschool where I worked and Elli had lots of little friends! (And I had lots of little friends and grown up friends!)  It was definitely bittersweet to leave.  I'm so thankful the Lord provided that wonderful job when we first moved here! It not only helped us financially, but my boss, Mrs. Peggy, and all the staff blessed me with their friendship and community! What a gift!
Matt/Daddy finished another semester! It was hard, hard work but we made it to the end! We are so proud of him!
One really hard thing will Elli is she is still not sleeping through the night... It's been since she was 6 months that she stopped.  We are trying to work on it, but still not having a ton of success.  You can pray for that! (this is also true for the 8th month unfortunately:( )
It was a blessing to see the Klinect side of the family.  Look for the 8th month blog to see our visits with the Bishop side!

God is faithful and continues to provide for our needs and grow us in many ways!
Elli, we pray you come to know this Wonderful Father.
